What is a bi-spectrum camera and why do I need both channels?
A bi-spectrum camera combines two sensors: a thermal sensor that detects heat signatures (for detection) and an optical camera that captures standard visible-light footage (for identification and evidence). The thermal channel detects threats in conditions where the optical camera is useless; the optical channel provides the identifiable footage needed for law enforcement and insurance purposes.

Can a thermal camera identify individuals at night?
Thermal cameras detect the presence and movement of people via body heat - excellent for detection and classification. Facial identification is not possible from thermal imagery alone. The optical channel on this bi-spectrum camera provides that identification capability once a threat is detected.
