Fisheye cameras capture a circular 360-degree image. Dewarping is the software process of unfolding that circular image into flat, panoramic, or virtual PTZ views that are easier to interpret. This is done in the NVR or camera software - allowing you to navigate around the scene as if using multiple separate cameras.

Does this fisheye camera have night vision?
The DS-2CD3956G2-ISU does not include built-in IR illumination due to the fisheye design. It performs well in well-lit indoor environments. For low-light use, supplementary ambient lighting is recommended - or consider a standard camera for night-critical zones.
