What is the difference between a patch cable and installation cable?
Patch cables have stranded conductors and are pre-made for connecting between equipment. Installation cable has solid conductors and is used for in-wall and conduit runs — it is not flexible enough for patch use.

Can I use this cable to connect a PoE IP camera directly?
Patch cables are suitable for the short connection between a wall outlet and a camera, or between a switch and an NVR. Use solid-core installation cable for the main run inside the wall.
